What makes you different from other DJ's?

Just about everything! We are life long learners that understand how valuable and essential it is to continually upgrade not only your skill set but also the tools you use. The industry has changed drastically in so many different ways. Continually evolving with the changes is something that we actually enjoy and it is also something that too many company's do not do. 

Can we meet the DJ before we book?

Yes, we set up meetings throughout the week, typically in the evenings and will work with you to accommodate meeting times and locations that are convenient for you. 

Tell me about your music selection? 

We use several sources for music and as a result have several hundred thousand songs at our disposal and on our hard drives. Our subscription service provides us with new music several times each month and our library goes back as far as the 1920's We have tons of specialty music and numerous styles of music such as Latin, Pop, Rock, and party favorites. Just as important as having the right music we take it a step further and use additional software to ensure that each file sounds is the best quality possible for playback on a large sound system in a function hall setting. This makes a huge difference.

Can you help us choose songs for the 1st and other dances? 

Yes we can help guide you in the right direction. Check out this link for some general information about the parts of a wedding you will need songs for, some ideas about choosing these songs and a list of selections that we have seen work well and even some that you may want to avoid. These special dances are very important and you want to be sure you spend some time considering them so you can make a great choice. 

Do you accept playlists? 

Yes. Every client has the opportunity to fill out a playlist which has their top 15 requests. This does not include the 3-10 key songs you will pick for . We certainly want to know if there are special songs, for example "that tune that we play at all family events and everyone loves", "that song that me and my girlfriends used to absolutely freak out over when we went out in college", "my mom and dads wedding song", those tend to be really good selections to make us aware of. Keep in mind we are very good at selecting music that will motivate people to stay and dance the night away! 

Do you arrive early for set-up

We arrive a minimum of 60 minutes before the event. Our goal is to arrive 90 minutes before the event and in some instances when we anticipate possible delays such as road work or seasonal traffic and even complexities entering the venue we allow more time. 

Have you played at my venue before?

We have played at many venues in the New England area. Where we really excel is in having an understanding of the principals of sound and knowing the different ways elements of a room can impact sound quality. This is why we have developed our sound systems with enough flexibility to be very effective in the vast majority of venues. Additionally we have well developed practices for working with catering a venue staff to ensure the common goal of a successful wedding is achieved. 

How much do you charge?

We provide a tremendous value for the level of service that we provide. Several factors impact the exact price. The biggest factors include number of hours that you need us, and additional services you want. 

What are the payment and deposit requirements?

We require a $100.00 deposit at the time of we enter into the contract. The remaining balance can be paid in several different ways including credit card, cash, check, and bank check or money order. We also offer a three payment option and even accept cash payments on the day of your event. 

How far in advance should we book you? 

We contract out on a first come first served basis. Certain dates historically become fully booked faster than other. Call us at (617) 877-6712 to check our availability. 

What are the next steps?

Give us a call. We will check availability for your date and set up a meeting once you decide to book, a contract is signed and the planning process begins. Generally picking songs and order of events takes a few hours and we can offer assistance as well as online guidance for this. The final part of the planning process is a 30 minute phone call with your DJ. This call happens 1-2 weeks before the wedding and allows us to finalize the plan, make any last minute adjustments and prepare for your big day!
